  • It was a cold, cold morning as my best friend and I walked the steps leading to Ten Thousand Waves, an international spa in Santa Fe, NM.  December 7, 2007….we needed this day, this trip to this spa….to rejuvenate, to shut down, to just be.  Here we go in our matching silk pajamas with our special blankets around our shoulders for warmth.  What a release to be “incognito” ---  and no chance of being unrecognized at this exquisite hide-a-way, in the mountains of Santa Fe.  A repeat performance to be sure….but as it turned out…there was nothing repeat about it…the revelation that would come out of it for me was astounding ... • I was excited about my first opportunity to help build a Habitat for Humanity home for a family in Dallas, Texas.  How I loved to build but this was to be a major task. I had gathered a fair amount of tools, as a single woman, but the bucket they lived in seemed so disorganized for all that I owned, which was a lot. I traveled to my favorite Home Depot to buy a tool belt for all the tools I would use for the project.

     As I entered Home Depot, a salesman approached, "May I help you?" he asked.

     I responded with, "I need to buy a tool belt."

     "What size is your husband?" he asked.

     "No, it's for me", I said to him. Suddenly, there were no words from the sales man;

     in fact, he stood there and stared at me, speechless. After a few seconds flew by, he

     directed me to the isle where tool belts were sold.

     As I walked over and entered the isle, another salesperson approached and asked,

    "Can I help you?"

    "I need to buy a tool belt", I shared with him.

    "What size is your husband?" he asked.

     Here we go again. I seemed to have been caught in a state of déjà vu. So I

     responded ... Vangie
